PNP Chief leads interfaith assembly for internal cleansing program
The Philippine National Police (PNP) internal cleansing program has been intensified for years and continuously reinforcing the “preventive” component of a three-pronged internal cleansing strategy alongside the equally important “punitive” and “restorative” components, according to PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde.
“I would underscore the fact the we truly determine the decisive internal cleansing campaign as the PNP promised strong call for positive change. Sadly, the PNP continues to face problems brought about by police scalawags especially those involved in illegal drugs and other illegal activities that continued to ruin the image of our organization,” Albayalde said.
PDLs remember departed loved ones during Holy Mass in jails
“As Christians, we are remembering our departed loved ones who are now with our dear Lord,” said Chaplaincy Service Office chief Jail Superintendent Servillano Maiso Jr.
“We also enjoin the faithful to live as good brothers and sisters in their respective communities,” he added.
The BJMP chaplains are conducting holy mass every first day of November to remind the PDL on the lives of the saints. They are encouraging the persons deprived of liberty (PDL) to keep their faith and be more prayerful in times of challenges and sadness.
DOH lauds BJMP Region X for anti-smoking efforts
It’s a sweep. All jails of BJMP Regional Office 10 including the regional office were declared smoke-free.
BJMP Regional Office X director Jail Senior Superintendent Luisito Muñoz and his wardens received the award from DOH Region 10 director Dr. Nimfa Torizzo in a ceremony held at Pearlmont Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
The historic feat came after the intensified efforts of the region in flushing out any means of vices particularly cigarettes to both personnel and persons deprived of liberty in the region.
“We want to promote a healthy environment that is free from toxic tobacco and we are happy that we’re able to do it in all of our jails including here at the regional office,” said BJMP
